A very intriguing film, as external and content. Let's start with that this horror film came to us in Islamic countries on middle East — and believe me, this is enough to do not skip. I note as well that the genre of "horror," absolutely not my — thirst for adrenaline — not my thirst. And still. still in this film there's something. Let's face it.

As you know, all have long ago tired of Western "horror stories" with murderers, maniacs and dissected, almost always accompanied by terrible acting, flat characters and a complete lack of meaning. That is why the viewer is so loved the Asian and in particular Japanese and Korean horror, where is the good old s harsh sounds and baby cries, but still having unforgettable tense atmosphere of mystery and fear of the unknown. In this (second) spirit and made this film.

"In the shadows" begins with a rather sharp social topic — instability, war and cultural revolution in Iran. The main character, because of his past political activity is not can continue training at the medical University (as always dreamed of her mother and may it myself). Have her husband (the doctor withdraw for work) and the child she implicitly accuses of their failures. It training with living under tape Jane Fonda and not can get out of the impasse. Periodically buzzing alarm siren, forcing people to go down to the basement. Of the pride and pride, the woman refuses to leave Tehran, who promised to bomb the missile and condemns himself and the child confined space and... gins.

Yes, Jinn. Oriental flavor. "What do you mean you do not believe in the Jinn? About them in the Koran it is written" — leads the crown argument is the neighbor in the the stairwell. They — evil spirits. To delve into the sources better not worth — risk of suffocation from sarcasm. Not here about it. Gene (the film) at first takes by one loves the most and then the. Here so. Further, I — silence.

Because "shadow" is the debut feature film by Babak Anvari, very difficult to assume that there was a what else is the meaning of told the history or not. But me how fan of other genres and like to popularise, it seems that is. I find these gins the physical embodiment of danger, which is so long denies the heroine; they have it, helping to separate the important from the secondary in the end help to reach agreement with your child.

The film is very well filmed for it is ashamed, make the movie as something special memorable. Feel free to recommend.

The 80-ies. twentieth century, Tehran. The Islamic revolution is behind us, but country is shaken by the bombing and conflicts Iraq. The main character expelled from Shide medical school because of his political views and support of the opposition in young and is now forced to stay at home with the daughter of Dorsa. Husband Shide went to as a military physician for an indefinite period, and a woman forced to survive the bombing, along with a child. After the home falls under the blow, the doors suddenly starts to behave very strange, Yes  & Shide notes that the following her weird dreams and visions.

Interest in this film is fueled by two factors — first, not every day you meet a mystical horror of the Iranian production, and the second, this pattern was observed to some sky-high rating from critics. Expectations, were deceived — "In the shadows" has been very lethargic and some amateurish imitation of the great Japanese horror drama "Dark water", narrated by boring, without voltage, interesting atmosphere, with bland design and clumsily staged scenes. According to all critics wildly admired subsumed under a mystical story of the Jinn political and social base, because the Director and writer Babak Anvari holds an obvious parallel between the attack on civilians and the attack of evil spirits, and at the same time shows all the hardships of life in post-revolutionary Iran (run on the street pajamas a woman can easily add lashes, a used VCR can steal under exercise Jane Fonda have just won't get), reinforcing the plot of the drama of the relationship of daughters and unsure his mother. But problem that Anvari not can seamlessly interweave all in single unit, an hour lulling the viewer is told boring and uninteresting story that stretches two third of the film, and a couple of genuine horror moments for 10 minutes to match the power to save the episodes with his participation from mediocre implementation.

The main character — woman name Shide. In her youth, she was leftist party, therefore after the revolution in which Iran became a conservative theocracy, it have to adapt to a new order. But the less independence expansiveness contrasts sharply with the surrounding women. We, the Western audience, nothing surprising, most women from now we are exactly, but for the Islamic society is of course the behavior of bordering unacceptable. A way in similar movies found for the first time, it is enough to remember "Mother" where the character also is constantly on the ego and trusts no one but himself.

We would like to mention the atmosphere — shown film life very similar to post-Soviet, and even now millions of our compatriots living in such a small, modest apartments in apartment buildings. And the existential the anxiety these concrete Swingers have long been noted in our modern culture.

In all exceptions are religions evil spirits feed on negative human emotions, so above all, control. The main character overwhelmed with passion, she dissatisfied, constantly dissatisfied and irritated. Naturally, such a person becomes a good target for dark forces that beat it hurt — in her daughter. In the film is quite correctly shown the traditional mystical Thriller the confrontation between logic, common sense, with one hand, and faith  - trust the other. And as usual, the spectator is invited to decide what it was — hallucinations in a result of stress or a frightening mystical reality.

Also very well simulated situation, in which the heroines find themselves without protecting of the father and companies. There is a war, all around stretched, many are forced to leave the house. In the end, not Shide listen to to her husband and forced to go through serious trials and horror her daughter, Darcie. Gradually, they remain all alone, and then the trap slams shut. But society seems, then she helps an unconventional confidence and independence. But the ending is left open. Yeah and we are reading the moral and only I propose to speculate on certain social and cultural issues. In the film is terrifying moments, the design of the demons is good. In General, a very decent job and recommended viewing.
