Is it possible to explain the failure of this film that this film, having a similar concept with the iconic "Matrix", was released in one same time it, therefore, passed by your radar and sonar? No, as it turned out, "the Thirteenth floor" just don't have been able to pass the test of time, so it harakterizuesh not otherwise, "boring and grey cincic".

Unlike the ideas of the Wachowski brothers, "the Thirteenth floor" has a source in the face of the novel of 1964, which is one of the first described the theme of virtual reality. Naturally, the alternative "Matrix" to wait is not necessary, but not the main snag of the picture, then it's the concept itself. The story of Los Angeles has some building, 13th floor which is reserved for the secret development of the computer, sending the user in some semblance of the past. To still not clear for what purpose was designed this technology. For the average consumer what a thrill to move into the digital version of man of the past, development is not is the rules of the time machine, nothing changed. For government the military is also why create that interesting to reach in recreated 1937? But the at least, the story starts from the fact that the boss of the Corporation-developer killed at the strange circumstances, and the answer to the mystery of his death that is encrypted in this system. So it is the Deputy will have to go to the virtual 1937, to uncover a terrible secret.

You don't think when I announced the main plot of the stimulus story might seem interesting? Forget because any potential was buried alive. It turns out, computer Corporation may for six years to create a true analog of the game with an open world where every resident has some... self-aware? And is programmed if one dude finds out what he's just a baby binary code, it is not getting some semblance of Neo, and do not begin to spoil raspberries programmers. He will simply continue existence, not a mutiny, and to resist only when it is the Deputy killed the boss and will start to try to find out about the murder. To on the Deputy. The man gets in a programmed world occurs in a separate avatar, to take all of this random guy from the world is placed in his consciousness of the user, and when a user disconnects, a random man remains in the world with the question "what am I doing in this place?". Interesting, but I though he realized say?

In General, the idea of a recreated reality, a well-deployed in"the Matrix", then have acquired some heaps, from which the brain boils and the skull from the excess internal pressure will crack. Actors passed with normal persons, I might say that they are little known. Computer graphics for movie virtual reality looks pretty pathetic, and this is evident even without comparisons the Wachowski film. The only positive thing that I want to discuss is suggested that the idea of a programmed past could catch up with Ubisoft for the creation of a series of games Assassin's Creed. And according to the popularity of this series, it is noticeable that they really seems to work.

If you do not understand, then I tell you directly — "the Thirteenth floor" this incredibly dull film. Where it would be more interesting, if the film, a building with a 13th floor was in 13th district, guarded by 13 ghosts. And to storm this building would go the 13th warrior, taking with an ocean 13. For such a sight I would have paid.

In the late nineties in Hollywood apparently got paranoid and began to make films about that the world is not like it seems. Not make sense to argue which of them came first. It makes sense to think which they will remain in centuries. In principle, it is enough to see without a word here, on IMDb, not is a one review.

Matrix. Forever. Amen.

It would be silly to start comparing, so as these films initially different level. "The thirteenth floor" — low-budget detective with elements of science fiction and one idea expressed even by Descartes. How to prove its existence? As know you or ARE you're just a part of someone created the program? One good thing, this question is not specified in the forehead, and will host a half screen time before the viewer will be able to clearly articulate. I must admit that even after watching "the Matrix" and"Dark city" parts of the narrative "the Thirteenth floor" is very long wanted to take shape in my mind together. And this includes the pros of the movie because, despite the complete predictability of everything else, the story, the viewer gathers from cogs, Shpuntik. Almost up to the very end continue to ask yourself questions, who who was possessed...

As for entourage — and new York 30 years no one surprise good futuristic landscapes on penny will be removed. So that, watchable, but no more. The actors are very dull — seems familiar, but I own zero charisma. In some moments frankly do not hold. However, the writer here also tar added, not writing as follows the internal moments of doubt and moments of the main characters. I mean, who believe if he say that it is not present? Who believe he is a murderer, if he knows no killing? Yes even if you will creep a doubt, a normal person would leave it is, unless it will not be in mortal danger. In"the Matrix" felt much better the psychology of people — the most we prefer comfortable PU shell hard struggle for the truth.

While watching often tormented deja vu, especially a lot of Parallels with "Dark city". The most obvious — this quest for "the edge" or Paradise beach and ocean the end.

In General, from the film came out a faint shadow of "the Matrix", not devoid of its merits, but still, still... Why breed the milk of powder, if there is present?

A great film for all lovers of fiction. This prostorijama science fiction. With good actors, with a great story and unobtrusive philosophy.

Ah, the Wachowski brothers, it is now clear from what book you got their "brilliant" ideas Matrix. But the thirteenth floor you surpassed, Director (Josef Rusnak) throws us many sweet philosophical bones, makes us dip it in the sights and 30 years, which can tell you passed brilliantly, you already 2024...

If you compare this film with Matrix, can confidently say Floor planks puts much higher in General, just a good film, which again makes us think about your daily bread, about being world on which we live, may not live as... maybe not us.

Suggest all fan fiction, m simply for people who love good, quality movie. A little confused by the ending, in the first part of the Matrix, it looks ubeditelnaya again notice first

8 from 10 put safely....
