I want to admire the Director, who with amazing tact receded on the second plan, giving full freedom (as it seems on first glance) actors.

I want to admire the actors — remarkable Duo Colin Firth and Rupert Everett! A stunning combination of equanimity and self-irony, severity, and guile — coupled with a constant with respect to yourself and others — bring a great pleasure to all lovers of old-fashioned movie (this is where heroes — people who just live, just talk, just love and hate each other).

Pleased to note that Reese Witherspoon is a very worthy fit in this team, not lost to the background of the award-winning Judi Dench. And as brilliantly played secondary characters! Remember — miss Prism and priest, love with her? Remember colorful fantasy Cecilia? Just top class! Music, costumes, camera work, and artist — all demonstrated great taste, pure English quality!

I recommend to view "an Ideal husband" by the same Director cate Blanchett and Rupert Everett. The film was made a few years earlier, we can say, a worthy rehearsal of future splendor.

Movie for connoisseurs of English classics. Subtle, ironic, light. The more the film is based on Oscar Wilde because for me it was only a plus. Great actors who are so subtly accustomed to the role, wonderful music, and pretty interesting story. It is very atmospheric movie, all done to ensure that the viewer himself feel the atmosphere of England, its customs. Costumes so as extraordinary. Film on all time.

Perhaps, he Oscar Wilde would dream of that it heroes, such an amazing, very different, but vaguely similar, were not only the paper and found her living alter-ego. And what happens if you take one time its amazing Comedy, funny, light and create a small-screen masterpiece, after all pinch the incredible Anglicana... For a couple of hours of unforgettable sentiments add two men, almost brothers, not by blood, but in spirit. Adventurers, romantics, somewhere cynics, and something naive boys with a crazy sense of humor and the ability how to find trouble, so and out of her. Not interfere with the presence of their brides, girls are quite different, but sincerely confident in the generosity of their elected representatives and that each is a lovely name "Ernst". Lost and found happy children, mix up the names, a couple of baptisms and weddings, strange relatives and the traditional five o'clock tea rolls — this Mr. Wilde saw his England.

And England becomes at this time of our. Involuntarily the spectator plunges into the atmosphere rather completely forget about that occurs window. Yeah and whether remember that when not have time to follow all the life incidents of Algy Moncrieff and Jack Worthing. Rupert Everett and Colin Firth — two real aristocrat is up to the fingertips! They don't need to play or pretend — they without this, it looks like the whole life wore these coats and cylinders, applied morning visits with the girls and spent the evening in"the Savoy". Elide Rupert am sometimes surprised by my recklessness, but it's hard to resist the charm of the Everett. And in the end all his jokes and misunderstandings remain directly in front of Jack. Colin does not change itself, allowing Jack fair share of adventure, all sometimes doing a hilarious serious face. And this adorable Duo only wins when the come ladies — Frances O'connor and Reese Witherspoon, while remaining a true lady, not able to resist a beautiful Serenade that they happen to hear. And let the voices of our knights are far from the perfection of the hearts of the girls already have long hit the Golden cage of love to their owners.

Perfect "sitcom" gives us the chance to marvel at the fact that it is called a "thin English humour", in which hovers the spirit of England which helps even the adventurer to be the gentleman.
