While watching movies with participation in as an actor or direct author of Buster Keaton immediately it's easy to differentiate with other comedians of the time. Have Buster instantly stands out for the original style, which is not to the action to include more so called "Comedy slapping" that it was a popular phenomenon, but rather there is a view that Keaton wanted to achieve with the part of the viewer more empathy (not counting stunts). Well, as the funny moments were added exclusively to the life situation in the form of some cute absurdity, of skusenosti, unplanned stupidity of the main character.

Here and in the film "the Cameraman" the main character is a little loser who never attract women, but once entirely and completely fell in love with one nice lady, working as a Secretary in this Studio Gigante cinematography as MGM. Itself well Buster, hitherto working portrait photographer, armed with a camera, closer to a great cocktail mixer, always dreamed of becoming a successful operator with a serious camera, be in the midst of the most important and history and sometimes of dangerous events.

Well, as say — dreams bad, not bad dream, here maybe the main character begin to be fulfilled the cherished desire: love found and feelings are not let go for a moment, forcing man to soar like a bird in the sky, while shooting attempts happen all often, accumulating the necessary experience. And although the workers of Metro-Goldwyn Mayer laugh at the guy sad eyes and Frank, every time you want to show on the door, shoved the man away, our Buster is not give up, patiently waiting for his chance.

Always have been a lot of talk that in the days of silent cinema broke out the real battle between Buster Keaton and Charles Chaplin, and, say what these were two of a man of genius the real competitors to each other, trying in retaliation to invent new new techniques. Yes, it may and it actually is to recognize that this development has gone on advantage these two individuals, and the whole cinema in General, not mention of ordinary viewers and the fans of the classic movie. Just want to note that work discussed by the author as not worth comparing with each other, so they are completely different.

Returning to "The Cameraman", it is important to note that the film is able to combine all a variety of genres and forms, interesting to the viewers, ranging from the famous Keaton stunts, without whom do nothing was impossible, and ending with drama when a man with a sad face sorry to tears, still so that feels com in the throat. The picture turned out entertainment, bright, funny and sad at the same time, cute, smart, everyone will find here something for himself and in doubt to arise can.

Lately I have been drawn to the classics. Yes on a good so right away I liked — without any unlesses. Watch modern new, critically acclaimed? Agree — it's a lottery.

I remembered Buster. Look at their rating — hell, the seven "Generals"? Sit in urgently revise the "General" (here as time version turned up in HD with new music) and whatever you think? Holy shield (as the Americans say), I re-open for yourself Keaton. Followed — "One week". Saints — masterpice! Still going — "the Cameraman". All! Tower. Officially, it is the rig!

Sorry, but about this movie (I just finished here just that) it is impossible to speak dry language of textbooks, it's film as like the other (some very good and good) world. The first time Keaton wiped his nose Chaplin in part of the "combination of comic and tragic". Well if not Uther — was very close! The plot is simple, but very interesting and touching: in love with the girl, the boy tries to become a cameraman. Not the purpose of personal gain, but the purpose of this girl to like you. With it there are lots of fun and not really the situation, and in the literal sense will empathize with this sweet man. Here culmination — the girl in the arms of another, and you grit your teeth, say "Well, how so?! But it's wrong! But she should be this wonderful clumsy Buster!". Have want the screen to get all its place to place!

Ownership is complete, I love it. No wonder "the Cameraman" (according to Wikipedia, haha, have a feeling your sarcasm) has become an example and tutorial is the perfect Comedy film for many decades for the Directors of Hollywood. And that scene when the girl and her boyfriend sit in the car, and poor guy Buster on an open passenger seat. And rain! And so fucking sad when this wall of water collapses on him. Just heart breaks!

About the technical side of the question, I think, meaning to say no. All at the highest level, as and Keaton. View this movie, if not seen. I hope you enjoy.

Basseterre, the small street photographer, is an operator-documentary, trying to win the love of Sally, and after many adventures into professional.

Thanks to this film I learned that America was still good comedians, in addition to Charlie Chaplin...

Really funny Comedy, which, though built in mainly the absurdity of the main character, but still, unwittingly brings a smile on my face. And whatever rework Buster not fall — tragic, comical, dangerous — the viewer for it will always hurt, because its absurdity and indecision make it so real, so close the audience that not to empathize with its hero simply impossible. And his quick wit and sharp mind is simply impossible not to admire.

about the film — Keaton showed how difficult and dangerous such a profession as a statement. They can not be, just putting the camera and taking in a row. It is quite hard work depending on many seemingly small things and minor things. Although in the modern world the work of the operator is almost invisible, but his film Keaton gave understand how this profession is significant. Because it is on the operator writes on all the film the most important events in history (of course, after the invention of the camera) and how the operator will take the event as he "served" the material, will depend on interest of the audience.

In General — classic Comedy silent movie, really funny and leaving behind a lot of reflection. Definitely worth to watch.
