"The ballad of Buster Scruggs" — is composed of six very short stories "Kohanovsky" the story of the Wild West. For two hours, you will manage to laugh and to cry, and come with delight. And even though this often occurs at the time of watching the film the Cohens, everything here is entertaining, so as stories here presented in a completely different genres. There are a classic genre brothers — ironic a black Comedy, there are dark tragedy, an absurdist tragicomedy and finally metaphysical philosophical parable. At the same time, each Chapter brings a certain promise, some fundamental thought.
"The ballad of Buster Scruggs" — the first Chapter tells the story of a nice singer and marksmen Buster the Scruggs. Not even worth talking about (well, that the priests!), what each Chapter beautiful cinematography and wonderful music, which often abounds in cowboy songs. Carter Burwell as always helped to add atmosphere. Tim Blake Nelson — beautiful. Extremely grotesque and charming character. This Novella carries a very vital message — there is always a "bigger fish". There will always be people who would be better to shoot, run or to learn. And always important is realize be ready. As they say "who warned that is armed". The first Chapter is very amusing and carefree, she like draws the audience into this incredible adventure at the Wild West.
"Under Algodonera" — second same ironical and funny novel. In we are seeing same the classic story of Western — see the unfortunate robber in the performance of James Franco. And again, everything is easy and relaxed. And the second Chapter in a row fun the end) It is in this Chapter can be seen leafless online stage, in which the main character is going to hang with a pair of robbers, one of them is crying next to the Franco. Last turns with a grin she asks him: "First time, huh?" This is the shortest driving the head of the all. It carries his idea of that life — it's a boomerang, and if you are destined to be punished, you it sooner or later will suffer. Also, this thought can send us to antiquity, and her favorite theme of the inevitability of fate.
"Sign in food" — dark tragic story of the show business. Not want to go in details, because in this novel it is important to observe the magnificent directing the Coen, which almost without words show the human rigidity and greed. In the lead roles here Liam Neeson and fully reincarnated Dudley from the"Harry Potter". Last I saw, to say the least, surprised. And most importantly played he it's great his face endings — simply Bravo!
"All Gold Canyon". This fourth account Novella I liked the most. In we watching old Tom waits, who came in a picturesque town trying to find there are gold. Such a classic story in the style of Jack London. But as done? Despite this novel I like immersed in another world. We watching the beautiful landscapes and can not to admire the beauty of the local landscapes. The story of the old prospector will captivate you with the romance of the Wild West, but not that the romance that was previous "ballads", and more sublime and, I can even say, philosophical. In my opinion, this Novella brings a little more sense than the previous one. First, of course, the leading idea here in that the work will reward you. And even if you will fall in misery, resisting them, you will be able to survive and go home with the award. Secondly, the Kohanim here, showing respect to nature, admiring its beauty and respecting its power. Incredibly atmospheric and life-affirming story that stuck with me in memory longer than the others.
"The girl scared" — fifth lightly laced head. In we observed the history of people travelling for the prairies with a caravan and developed on the background of this love story. But the priests would not by Priests, if not done in this rather dull novel, very ironic and cruel end. This Chapter talks about what stupid people is extremely difficult to survive in our world. Also slightly reverting to the second Chapter — the theme of fate. To which are horrible matches in the life and to what good intentions can turn into a tragedy.
"The remains" — the final, the sixth and most difficult novel of all. In this Chapter Cohen talks about the nature of death. A story could be a metaphor for the final journey of man to the same light in the end of the tunnel. Terrible philosophical parable about that everyone finally, will die. And we have don't care cards, hunting, work, husband and other everyday Hobbies.
On the final credits I again admired as feature this film and was upset about that Cohen decided to make a movie, but not a show — two hours very little crime! I want more! I want more feel the adventurous spirit and watching the unsuccessful robbers, poor artists and the old prospectors. It is the picture has definitely become one of my favorite the Cohens. I you highly recommend)
