Canadian horror film "Twins" — the debut film by Brandon Christensen.

It is seen that the creators are trying to create to create the right atmosphere, but the lack of talent coupled with a trivial approach is ruining everyone trying. A terrible noise from baby monitor — this is all well and good, but why it can be done at least a little bit "with the meaning"? Exactly like and noises, squeaks, and other attributes. Why are they all so shallow? Screamers — stupid predictable. "Enemy" is not mysterious nor drops, everything is easy turns out the first request heroine in Google. Even to say too much about "the Twins" nothing is so unnecessary to hack.

Talked very sensibly: why do not combine horror and psychological Thriller, and opening theme to identify postpartum psychosis. A good thing, it is correct. But the topic is not reveals absolutely. Psychosis is, but it is not necessary to events occurring in film.

The most amazing (in a bad way) scene — is when a mother moves with an axe in the hand of the demon of suspected the murder of the baby's son. A normal mother, out depends on strannosti appearance of an otherworldly entity, have would long ago have shredded the demon and made him a salad with demonational. But  the ideal mother of the film, of course, not doing.

Actors. Everyday scenes, performer of the main character Christy Burke plays fine. But fear — very bad. On these insincere bulging eyes in the worst traditions of Chloe grace Moretz from "Mind in fire" look without laugh hard. Jesse moss plays on the serious problems.

"Twins" — a waste of time. Not recommend to watch even for fans of horror.

In his debut full-length directorial project, the canadian Brandon Christensen uses a trivial enough tools for creating suspense (strange noises coming from the baby monitors; terrifying footage, captured on video; knockout plugs in home in the storm) mostly borrowed from "Astral" "Paranormal activity". Therefore, almost no one of "Boo"-episodes that are present in the feed in a decent number, not is original. But as ironically, these points the most part work and the scare is real. Along with this, moving away from Isutoshi many scenes, one can easily see that the film deals with rather serious topic of postpartum psychosis, which is a powerful dramatic core of the production.

The young actress Christy Burke specializing more serials ("Supernatural"), the main character turned out bland, but it reliably managed to convey a psychotic state, and afraid she can very naturally, why even formulaic scary moments were pressing on nerves.

We should praise the canadian group the Blitz//Berlin ("Emptiness"), the soundtrack which is quite well-suited to the events on the screen action and, perhaps, plays a crucial role in creating the tension.

So, if you want to see a good combination of the aforementioned horror and "the Babadook" then, perhaps we should give this tape a chance.

Dead/born — template, not a helluva lot atmospheric, and far from the originality of the canadian psychological horror film, which, however, happy abundance of excellent scary episodes, a powerful dramatic component, quality music and not failed end of story.

Premiered on the film festival "Overlooks" in mount hood, Oregon. There he won the award for "Most scary movie". I was impressed, realistic psychological horror and mystery.

The script is well conceived, designed, drawn, realized, with a good schizophrenic puzzles, this topic on the unborn babies and the demons have seen and before, but this his original approach happened, not even expected Canadians such. The tension and fear not a long time coming, the first spark was already on 14 minutes, then gradually and steadily moving on the growth that is pressing on the psyche of a stranger. Directed by Brandon Christensen directed his third film, quite professionally and gloomy. The sound further added to the ants on the body was sounding atmospheric, depressive and creepy. The actors played almost perfectly, just a little with issues, but and Michael Ironside is played. The bloody special effects here are not major, those that showed looked terribly disgusting. Isolation is insane, the ending disturbing drama.

Yes, there are the movie the little flaws, but the heavy residue left after watching.
