The biggest achievement of this film — its structure. The constant flashbacks that no warnings into the outline of the story is not allow the audience to relax. Together they form two love stories with a tragic ending, happened with the main character. Moreover, the outcome of one of them worthy of its significance of the ending, occurs in the middle of the tape. It creates the effect of final stretch — interchange like already happened, but here is the tragedy repeated. He this enhances the effect of the ribbon, adds additional meaning.

In this movie, all from film Noir. First of all — the hopelessness that pervades all the space tape. Surreal gangsters chase him for the entire film. The reason there are not important and clearer they only the course of the narrative. Important the voltage from external forces, a permanent threat to life. With this character has to live. And in the image of the hero, the pianist, tired of the life, the tragic twists and turns, you can see something more. This is a typical film Noir hero who is a little enough to in order to escape from chain of unpleasant events. Fingers Aznavour, its sad look... Truffaut there was very expressive and poetic.

Trali-Vali-tra-La-La! This film we looked we love it!

Great guy, igrets on the piano, he wants a lot, and much get. Not say that this is a film about how he was all then it became nothing. Because not quite so. He lives his life, is only possible on the streets of Paris. He bold, he makes a choice. He loves it. love. In the veins it flows the blood of bandits, and is something so! As all just those guys from  the"new wave"! Outsiders, rebels, outlaws, Belmondo, Truffaut, Godard, curtain!

"Shoot at the pianist"

1960, France, dir. Francois Truffaut

Second feature film of the famous representative of the French "new wave" Francois Truffaut based on the novel by American writer David Gudisa "down There" (1956).

The film was shot, with one hand, as a classic Noir, but with another, the style of "new wave" that causes an interesting directorial decision. No no mystery, no fatal beauties in the traditional sense of the word, not intricate crimes, nor the mafia or spicy bandits. "New wave" takes the tragedy and hopelessness, making Noir more mundane and ordinary, the everyday: dirty rooms, cheap cafes, available, women, domestic crimes, stupid criminals; but not "rolling down" in the realism. To the amazing added a barely perceptible irony and even parody over all events. Here and get Truffaut and not a detective, and not a Thriller and not a drama in the traditional sense. But a movie that very air, draws, draws you'd like to watch.

Successful, rich and a successful pianist Edward Saroyan not doing his glory and under the circumstances in a moment loses everything. He trying to start a brand new invisible life under different name; becomes person who runs from trouble. But useless the hero's brother, Chico, all the spoils, and substituting Edward other people. How easy it is not only to get mixed up in bad history, but and to implicate himself not wanting the people close to you.

Brother of the main character refers to a well known type of people, which is always a lot of trouble. As says Chico one of the brothers: "If idiots could fly, it would be appointed commander of the squadron".

Detective line in the film home, her background unfolds the story of a man who can't understand yourself to understand what he really wants. The film is about how the last connection, and family, pulling us, enveloping some obscure obligations. The hero is to handle what he needs others and himself.

The idea of the Director is perfectly embodied in the life of the famous French actors Charles Aznavour, Marie Dubois, Michele Mercier.

I advise to look to all fans of the French "new wave". Style lovely Francois Truffaut manifested in fully.
