Saving Mr. Banks

History of staging of classical artistic Disney movie "Mary Poppins". When Walt Disney promised his daughters to make a movie of their favorite book, the tale of Pamela Travers "Mary Poppins", he did not even know that the fulfillment of this promise, he'll need more than twenty years. In an attempt to obtain the film rights to the book, Walt was faced with a wayward and intractable British writer, which in any case did not want her favorite character was "spoiled" Hollywood approach to filmmaking. Only in the early sixties, she agreed to come personally to Los Angeles and start negotiations about the film adaptation. For two weeks in 1961, lasted until negotiations with Pamela Travers, Walt Disney tried all the tricks. He presented ideas and sketches for the film, tried to impress writer splendid music written by the talented composers, Sherman brothers, and even arranged trips to Disneyland — but Travers did not go to any persuasions, and the famous filmmaker almost abandoned his plan.

For Walt Disney Pictures it is the first film one of the characters in which is Walt Disney. All we are very familiar with your favorite cartoons, serials and feature films. But always interesting to see the process from the inside, on how is born favorite hero around the world as obtains the appearance of traits.

But this story is not only it. The main heroine of the film -Pamela Travers, a famous English writer, author of the beloved "Mary Poppins". Being a conservative, quite stubborn and faithful to their views of a woman, Mrs. Travers for twenty years in a row rejected the proposal of Walt Disney to film her book. And agreed to do only with its full control script. At this is tied to the plot.

Periodically the storyline interrupt the flashback of the childhood of the main character, her memories beloved father and a strict aunt. And gradually the particle collecting those of memories, we understand where did the characters of her books-and the perfect nanny Mary, and the father Mr. banks; it becomes clear why Pamela Travers so fought their characters, so I stood for them to tip of whiskers (in the fact that neither there are literally). To our eyes it turns out the harsh, closed English lady in lonely woman with a tragic fate. And in the end it becomes clear that the differences between Travers and disney is not so much, they both know that such difficulties and their to overcome.

Summing up, I want to say that "Saving Mr. banks" — very strong in the emotional picture worthy and profound movie, but without tedious philosophy and the imposition of foreign ideals. Even if you will come with delight view time accurately in vain lose.

There was a little girl, Helen, who was very fond of his dad.

It's time the girl grew up and became "old busybody" Pamela Trevers, which 20 years he refused to sell Walt disney the rights to the adaptation of his book — "Mary Poppins". But Walt gave a promise to his daughters to "revive" the character of the favorite fairy tales and also not intend to retreat...

But it almost gave up. "Old pepper", domanassa their anecdotal nagging, writers, composers and Secretary, managed to instill uncertainty and the Disney. "What I'm not do?" — Asked myself Walt after another magical adventure arranged specially for Pamela Trevers. — "What went wrong again so?"

"Not" went after death of her father... Helen, dreamed in just like him and realized then she is not did the right thing. And why the aunt who came to "save everyone", not it turned out the most important — to help dad.

Helen grew up and she tried to do what I don't came from aunt: took the pseudonym in honor of his father — traverse composed that Mary Poppins has all happened. She convinced love, care and reliability of Babysitting all the children of the planet, but herself — her personal story ended differently.

With the consent "to give" Mr. banks, Pamela-Hellen rescued three people: father — in the film adaptation of the children understand what really, Mr. banks them very, very loving. Himself — has ceased to be a victim, out of his father's shadow. Well and Disney — he was able to fulfill a promise to a loved daughter.

No, nothing like that! It is the film is not about the Creator of Mary Poppins and not great genius Walt Disney! No! This picture is about child living inside each of us defining our future actions, affections, likes and dislikes. All our past the Luggage is stored invisibly in the halls of our mind, and every day breaks out, predetermining the course of our history. And in some cases, to influence and the story is universal.

I think good films like and good books, determines what they are made for a broad audience, for children, loves cartoons, for the romantics, living under the auspices of the pink color, for deprecation, loving affliction snot on life. this a picture it is — it is — everyone will find here something for themselves.

As can be seen from the trailer the plot is divided on two parts: that occurs in the Walt Disney studios, depicting Titanic difficult job cute "creators of magic on-screen" with a stubborn and stiff Pamela Travers, and that is in memory of the main character, telling of wounds, which, alas, does not heal. Three liters of tears, I must have time to pour over two hours, five minutes, yeah and neighbors at the chair howled me to the beat. That there were tears of pain and emotion, pity and empathy! But as well pleased to recognize the fact that like sad had this story head character, it still had a good ending! The Director walks in thin line, maneuvering between clearly dramatic past, and radiant real funny. "Saving Mr. banks" — this course of tears, resentment and fears of a little girl, seasoned with a pinch of magic, irony and good humor. The ending of the film reveals other people's drama, hinting that each of us unhappy in its own way, each has its own cleft in the heart, which derives the heat. But miracles certainly happen — they come to us with the East wind! And just not to stop believing in a fairy tale!

It is a picture of big crowd, a lot of people passes by the screen running it back. But, of course, the frame never leaves its main character. It frankly net / curly-blond past replaced years and older grumbling, in the person of Emma Thompson! It is brilliant! No extra emotions, no one vain glance, posture, gestures, lip and eyes, it makes cute Emma Thompson, so gently loved by the audience at the other roles, just a hateful harpy, which is not very wanted to hit than difficult. credit to Tom Hanks, skillfully passing on the background giving the frame in the capable hands of his partner. John Lee Hancock picked a great cast, each of them separately they however it just a dream!

Movie was a success!
