Interesting to see fighters from different years and assess the fashion of the time.
The dominance of special effects, solid computer graphics, then return to naturalness. But apparently it was fashionable then meat. The natural meat — half of the characters shoot in all possible and impossible places parts of the body one acid corroded. All in this close-up shows that only to blink Yes to turn away, so as not to see. Mangled flesh, blood, shattered bones. Realistichnaya. Not say that after I had nightmares, but hit the living part.

Movie childhood, then still watching, I understand how it's cool. He machine man — he's Robocop. Watching, you realize how the film is brutal and cynical. In my childhood it was a fun shooter. And even more after watching the Director's version with a long bloody scenes. So shows human lust, deceit, all it is disgusted. And here the mutilated corpse, flesh and blood, rises a person — machine. It would seem the perfect weapon without the feelings thoughts. But he's a robot only half. And revenge will not going anywhere.

Excellent visual component, a memorable soundtrack and characters. According to these settings bypassed a remake of the original, for many years to come.

Car is outside, people inside as well shown the pain and the awareness of this in the film when he comes to your home. The first part, spawned many sequels and series, will be the best of all.

What films by Paul Verhoeven have their own original "chip" — often a fantastic action adventure hides the second a rich layer of food for thinking of different social and politics — is criterion that they become classics of the genre, which is not "surpass".

... When the main enemies for residents the Robocop become a gang of violent criminals and the greed and stupidity of management decisions known to the Corporation-monopolist, to disobey which no one in the state. The more when all the police are funded by it  (and held by it on a short leash), and her bosses, cops in a penny does not put.

So I think the perception of this film in Russia in the past 20 years also has to change, because in the late 80s, in the era of "scoop" our citizens are still met the realities of the "sharks" of capitalism, often with great political power and its own army. Any decision they explain the "care" of the environment, population, city and etc. no sound familiar? This idea will be further developed in the second and third films of the series, where Corporation O. C. P. will follow a complete and the city authorities will be powerless to fight back.

And why don't accidentally like a red thread throughout the trilogy of Robocop is the line of confrontation a free person, living in a pretty cynical and not very civil society and the corporate/state interests often intersect with criminal groups.

Thus, an interesting story about the man-machine, fighting against corruption with your memories, coupled with the uncompromising action of the R rating, taken at the old school manner — here is a simple recipe of live classics (comparable to  the Terminator Cameron) and absolute fun at the same time.

What is there to talk — Michael Bay with its terabytes F/X graphics in a fairy tale for young morons never to touch the viewer with the childhood brought up on fiction of the highest standard, made with soul.

Bravo, Verhoeven! Not regretted redefined!
