I love movies about Hannibal Lecter (with the exception of "Climbing" with Gaspar Hive). They are filled with the atmosphere of secrecy and mystery, which is not enough modern thrillers. In the entire trilogy, of course, ruled a ball that atmosphere which is not will allow even for a second to look away from the screen. And this film is also not exception.

"Red dragon" was shot in 10 years after the discoverer of the "silence of the lambs", but the sequel to the essence not is. On the contrary, the action in this happens even before the meeting the doctor man-eating with Clarice Starling. The picture starts actually with the exposure of doctors and his arrest and the detective investigating take start only after its eight-year imprisonment. In this time we have to observe the pursuit of killer nicknamed the Tooth fairy, who brutally killed the two families. Moreover, it takes itself will Sins, once and exposed doctor. And, of course, the laws of his predecessor, is a confrontation of a detective with gannibalom Hannibal. And it comes as and Clarice Starling, the Board request help.

The idea is identical to that we saw in "the Silence of the lambs", but it was and spectacular, Yes, myself friend maniac was more colorful (though still with obvious problems with the head). Here we fighter is beautiful and happy families exhibit remarkable ingenuity and attention. He Parasporos Buffalo bill. Only he knows the criteria he selects the family, but the ritual that he does with them, obviously not just monachesi, and has mystical background. Yes, he is not sophisticated colorful, as his predecessor, but in terms of psychology more interesting. Moreover, he became interested in the Dr. Lecter that he even joined with him in communication and gave advice as a newbie killer.

The cast is brilliant. Better Anthony Hopkins, no one never will play Hannibal. Actor for years into this role even his Dr. Abraham van Helsing in"Dracula" is not so impressed me as Lecter. It look askance, evil smile and a soft tone. during the conversation create a sense of danger. He him know what to expect, because it is extremely resourceful. And he likes to solve puzzles and charades. It either not bring the trail of the killer. Simply put, it makes the detective and the viewer slit. Edward Norton was for me. I never loved the actor, but here I very impressed. it games. On my opinion, a worthy rival of the doctor-eater. Fiennes in its role is also organic. His trembling voice and faltering gestures he literally draws the viewer to the person, yeah so it even start to regret, and not to hate, how Buffalo bill. And Emily Watson is stunningly brilliant. In the role of the blind R. McClain she is fascinated me. Undoubtedly one of her best roles.

I am very impressed by the ending. She no less enchanting than "Silence..." with foster. These are the endings I call the finals with a double bottom, when you are already tuned on the same wavelength and ready to turn off the TV in anticipation of credits, and it is not the end. In my opinion, a very worthy finale to a brilliant film.

so, turned out to be extremely talented tailored the movie, from is impossible to put down. Great actors, ominous music and a good identity of the killer. What else you need for a great detective Thriller? But to be honest, "silence of the lambs" and"Hannibal" seemed like a stronger, so I just 8 points.

The backstory of "silence of the lambs". Yet nice to Clarice Starling. But we meet will Graham, an FBI agent, caught himself, Hannibal Lecter. After that it leaves of service, but the emergence of dangerous maniac "Tooth fairy" makes him again to get involved in the direction of investigation. But clues are too few and will have to seek advice to those who are caught and I killed him — to Dr. Lecter.

All investigators many details of the plot, revealing which will be the spoiler. Therefore, in my opinion them it is difficult to write reviews to be interesting, but not tell too much. This film is not the exception. Can mention only that the action involved the head will Jack Crawford, will's family, blind, but strong character of the girl of warfare and newspaper reporter Freddy Lounds. Well and actually, shown a casual history of the maniac. By the way, is quite sad and tragic.

The cast is just a masterpiece. About Hopkins't even write will — and clear that as the intellectual cannibal created and built incredibly. Not stop to admire the talent of Edward Norton. More and more convinced that he's a first class actor and can play any sort of role. All movies its part of what I looked — it all the role was totally different. From his characters not a single similarity — well, except for the fact that he plays. Ralph Fiennes played the maniac with a mental disorder. Quite plausible, but something not enough... It character left for not me to the end opened.

The film is made soundly. Efficiently. The only thing that, the beginning of the movie, when will came in the house of the dead and the first time examined him — I would remove these awful "screams" at the lights are switched on. Maybe the creators thought that they catch up more fear, but I personally just rough cut the ears a sharp sound.

Interesting, tense, exciting film with not a bad plot and a brilliant cast.

"Red dragon" — a sinister and tragically-thin backstory of the legendary detective Thriller "the silence of the lambs". Someone will say that the film will not fit — the aged Anthony Hopkins, not fit into the role will Graham Edward Norton on... is not quite so. The painting is impregnated with this fear, anxiety, terror, covering the heroes of the tape with the head. Yes, sir, Anthony got older — in common sense, people with years of age, not younger. But he had at least has weakened his game — the stranglehold of Dr. Lecter! Hannibal Lecter can grab and close the grip of her sight, only her smile. And the actor, who turned that image in the legend, the icon of the genre, it still got it and turns your stay. Anthony Hopkins as always, height.

I agree with those. who said Edward Norton is not suitable for the role of will Graham. Yes. can be so. After all, if you remember the original, but it is the novel of Thomas Harris ' "Red dragon", then you can understand that Graham — besides he's a genius in the behaviour of criminals — in some way sick on the head of a person. Crawford says that Graham's "brain is wired somehow differently". It borders on genius crazy. But because of that, he and genius. And all the geniuses — mentally ill people, as a rule.

Norton managed to embody the image of Graham's eyes, the smirk, but not behavior. In he plays William Petersen, who played Graham in the Michael Mann movie "Hunter people" — the very first film adaptation of the novel "Red dragon". Petersen has managed to bring on the screen is a real Graham — the investigator who is gradually losing his mind, thereby penetrates into the minds of criminals.

Ralph Fiennes — and let it not the blond Nordic type, as in the novel, but the internal feelings, emotions, distress and anger he — the spitting image of Dollarhide. Ruthless, merciless. And only Ms. Maclean was able to Wake up in man to calm the beast.

Overall, the movie is strong, holds in the voltage from beginning to the end. Yes, there are small deviations from books, but they so and visible. Tape was hard, dark, and catching-up "silence of the lambs". The storyline is well developed, the actors believable in the role, and I must say that cast in the film is quite strong. And, the most important thing that the comparison of Lecter and Graham also slips in the picture. Not in vain Hannibal tells will that he caught his just because they are similar. Two antagonist, but with a large number of similar than different. Bravo to the actors and Director Brett Ratner — the book is beautifully laid down on the screen.
