Today, the topic of mental disorders in movie on TV was well it is very popular. To recall the endless investigators and detectives with Asperger's syndrome. Stories like "pawn sacrifice", of course filmed will take, but recently, perhaps only personally, for me, they become more relevant. Drama about a man who simply "burned out on work," whose genius able to withstand this voltage, just sriva himself yourself. Perhaps all the talented people have a different kind of obsession, however, some know how to carefully hide because society and social environment dictates the conditions. However, Bobby Fischer is not going to hide anything and, thus, shows a very whimsical, infantile paranoid. Fisher, according to everything, really lived on the edge, on the brink of sanity. Endless paranoia, global government, conspiracy theories, the Freemasons, the Communists, the risk of poisoning, all he was haunted by it is inflammation of the brain game. This partly contributed to the pressure of the surrounding the people, war of the worldviews, the attempt of revenge, the US on the world stage in the midst of the cold war, on the background of the defeat in Vietnam. It is particularly interesting to observe how the victory Bobby was literally infected the whole of the American nation, yeah and the world true chess fever. In chess is played everywhere, in schools, hospitals, parks and cafe. By popularity the year chess can be compared with football in our days. And it is such that seems to be not a spectacular game with small figures on the Board.

Directed by Edward Zwick (legends of the fall, the Last samurai) with the operator of Bradford young (Most violent year) tell that drama a classic style, using a gloomy face closeup, long intense conversations and disturbing music, but it turns out quite well and not boring. Approximately 90% of all shootings take place in four walls, which, in principle, also characterizes the state of the protagonist.

Acting is not satisfactory. The main role is very suitable Tobey Maguire, who in everyday life, is renowned for its scandalous behavior. Lily RAB in the role of Joan, the eldest sister of Bobby Fischer, pleasing to the eye, although, after watching American Horror Story, I knew I she can play almost all and, in my opinion, deserve much more screen time. Particularly pleased with Liv Schreiber in the role of Saviour, who, as it appears under the end turns out to be a "comrade in misfortune".

Finally, even a couple of favourite quotes:

"That's a rabbit hole. After the first four moves offer more than three hundred billion combinations. Parties in 40 more moves than stars in the galaxy. It can make you mind"

"People think that there are lots of opportunities, but there is only one correct move. And in the end you don't select"

Watch if you like:

psychological drama, biopic.

The film is based on the type of the chessboard, many black and white elements. Interesting scenes are intelligently interspersed with second-rate panels. It's a shame that is so fertile topic, has been so simplified everything if the segments are not just not have time to sit in the soul.

Great emotion Tobey Maguire, perhaps the only thing that emboss goose bumps on the epidermis. But if you see the main, hidden purpose of this film, but he can be a lot to forgive. It leaves us with the rampant interest in chess its heroes. Immediately after watching the movie, I played one game in the Internet and watched a biography of Fisher, and now going to look at it a documentary.

All fans of thoughtful and intelligent movie, be sure to educate. For others, it just another nadotti, and even a bad shot.

A vivid example is quite interesting paintings that are invisible and only swoop pass a great rental. If we ignore the different kind of jokes and stereotypes, then a movie about chess can be and, in this case, you want to call a sports drama. After all, what is the fight between two great grandmasters, if not the confrontation of intellectual abilities. Looking ahead, I will say that after watching "pawn sacrifice" I want to do two things. First, to study history, posited in the film. Second, find a partner on the game to dust off the gift boxes of chess.

Among other paintings, involving, as anyway, the theme of the Cold war, the ideological confrontation, the struggle for the authority to cause the most interest. Where ambitious leaders do not decided on the armed conflict, the status of "strong" earned, in including a chess Board. The subject is given an important, if not decisive importance, especially on the background of a controversial personality of Bobby Fischer. Some of the teams gets the best conditions in hotels, how sophisticated can be foreign wiretapping, effective does attempts after the fact to depict the malaise after a loss. On the example of these, with permission, warriors of the intellectual front affected much more General and eternal themes than specific competition between the United States and the USSR in the 1960-1970-ies.

Toby Maguire, who still looks decade younger than his age, perfectly conveys the image-obsessed own business person. Little Robert Fisher have made of experienced players to fidget nervously on the chair became the youngest champion of the country. That the case when we see the big sports squeeze all the juice out of its pioneers. On it and champion — not only skillful of all, but and persistent, obsessed. Willing to put their lives and health on the altar of future victories. This is the main character — not too sweet, eat paranoia, impulsive — far from the bright image of the protagonist whom you admire. Along with this is such a controversial reaction to the main character fueling a common interest in occurring.

The story covers two decades of becoming one of the legendary grandmasters and its actually ideological confrontation with world champion Boris Spassky. Urgent advice — to minimize the number of read to view the information, to keep the intrigue. And while all the key characters are revealed, for the most part, pretty superficial, you literally move forward with a chair, so as not to miss the end of matches, execution of agreements, verbal attacks. Almost two hours of time pass on one breath, while in the picture nothing outstanding.
