Oh, screwed up our localizers with the translation of the name. No drug Lord in the movie, of course not. The story tells of the investigation into the murder of a police officer under a cover, over which two teammates have each which is your skeleton in the closet.

Still not nothing Tom cruise so zealously eager to produce the film. The script here is excellent, with an intriguing storyline, developed characters, an unexpected ending and even a fairly large element of drama. I would even call this film more police drama than a Thriller or action movie. The action scenes in the film is almost there, but a lot of dialogue and dramatic episodes.

The script here is excellent, and think if the film was a bigger budget, then its quality would be better. Still the script the script, but it still need to be removed. And here outlined some of the problems. Joe Carnahan a good Director, but, alas, with this budget, it is normally only teen Comedy to remove. The film is banal is not have enough budget, and it very much affects as: pale and cheap decorations, old equipment (if not Amateur quality video) and grey tones. Although the gray tones I think, was made specifically to enhance the atmosphere of the film. Yeah and decoration is also in principle suitable for this film, so it mainly talks about life in the slums of Detroit. That there is a collapsed house drug addicts, all that. But again, if the creators were a little more money, the scenery would look in the topic, but in the same time, a little more expensive that is important.

Due to the lack of budget, many scenes shows that was filmed in a hurry, on the people, hiding the camera. So not worry if the viewer will seem to see some underground film. Apparently, as once due to this here, repulsive visuals picture and failed at the box office. My advice to you, dear potential audience: endured the first such image and way of shooting. The twenty minutes of viewing will get used and even then, vengeance will begin to enjoy a story, which I hasten to assure you damn good and dramatic.

After the second scenario plus at 're acting. Jason Patrick ray Liotta made a chic Duo as they believe the characters and sorry, I each of them the problems and its principles of investigation. In everyone's life there is any tragic spot, which everyone tries to forget. Especially in that game Liotta: it look, the constant tantrums. I feel that guy half of my life living constantly on edge, constantly forced to engage in fights with superiors.

Narc — despite outer homeliness, after a while the lure of its amazing story and acting. To the same the Director uses several techniques in order to diversify the gray image, for example, divides the screen into four parts (borrowing from the series "24 hours"). In General. The possibilities will definitely see this movie and if dosidit to end will be rewarded with unpredictable and tragic ending.

Very interesting crime fiction from Director Joe Carnahan, the first and foremost characterized by an unusual storyline, and good game Jason Patric ray Liotta. I admit, both the actors surpassed all waiting skillfully handled allotted key roles and in recent years, both the actor only occasionally encouraging his participation in the lead roles, but sometimes frankly weak projects.

And, despite the light resource, which was film "drug Lord", the producers managed to reach the highest quality in painting, broken installation with multi-frame inserts, a running camera operator, in principle, questions to the picture do not give. Not can say with confidence that the final story was predictably, perhaps, the outcome of the history of such was allowed, given all possible options for the solution plot.

In any case, fans of films about dirty the corrupt police, fans of the genre, the film is, of course, will have taste at first sight it may seem quite simple, but not to highlight the qualitative measure of the Director Joe Carnahan.

To start a small linguistic discourse. The thing that "the drug Lord" — in fact, no not the drug Lord. "Narc" in American slang has 4 values : 1 — "a policeman who is engaged in fight against drug" 2 — "informer" 3 — "lay a friend or partner" and 4 — "the mule". And that most interesting, 4 of these are `makedate` do have a place in the film. The only thing that there — is a drug Lord. If I had the honour to translate the name of this painting, I would be translated "Narc" as "Under cover" or"the Mule". Perhaps, too, not ideal, but in any case, closer to the events on the screen than "the drug Lord", which has nothing to do them or to the city. Now about the movie.

The picture "Narc" Joe Carnahan — is a cross between action Thriller and police drama. Two cops involved in the fight against drug — Nick Tellis (Jason Patric) and Henry Oak (ray Liotta) — engaged in the investigation of the murder of a police officer who worked under cover. For Tellis is a chance to correct his career, fired them badly the failed arrest of a drug dealer, in the result of which killed civilians. Oak — the policeman hero, for which to solve this case long ago acquired a personal nature (the murdered policeman was his friend). Together they all wool, who even as that could be involved in murder. However, the Tellis more immersed in the details of the investigation, the more questions is the behavior of UAC — the policeman hero is clearly playing a double game. Can Tellis to get to truth to stay alive? See for yourself.

The main advantage of "Narc'a" — the realism of the narrative. The creators of the film, despite the tiny budget, managed to accurately convey the atmosphere in which there are the cops like Tellis and Oak. A constant stress. A small salary. Hangouts and hot spots in even with the gun is terrible to seem. The dregs of society in the form of key figures, they have to interact. Heavy, hopeless work, which in addition can be totally evaluated by the authorities. The plot is quite chaotic and fairly common. In this sense, the "Narc" has more from drama than from drama, focusing not on plot twists, and the tragedy of the events. However, the voltage, which lacks in story, it creates a cool operator and music. Some scenes are filmed so that I'm afraid once again inhale — so what is happening in the screen absorbs the attention.

Summary. "The drug Lord" (no not the drug, but what to do — so called it in domestic box office) — strong middling in genres action Thriller and police drama. Good acting, wonderful camera work, a strong directing. Of course, it will not cause the admiring exclamations, but if You are looking for a good Thriller for that interesting way to spend an hour and a half of free time, "drug Lord" would be a worthy candidate for this job.
