In this film there is absolutely no new ideas; all showed us here Sam Mendez, to it was implemented in various projects by other artists. No here and a new approach to old ideas/issues not we will see and unexpected solutions with the point of view of editing, camera work or script.

But it is not mean the movie is bad and see it not worth it. Yeah, maybe he will not change your look at peace and do not give interesting and unexpected answers to old questions, but he not bad. The picture is beautiful (there are many fine episodes: burning oil; horse; charred corpses in the machines; Marines walking in the desert); the film interesting (the time from my wife sent homemade porn with a and a neighbor was even the unexpected), let and tight — the Director is too fond of showing us repetitive a completely meaningless life. Marines Yes to the extent that on 50-Oh to minute, I want to see the final credits.

Meanwhile, pleased with the acting work of Peter Sarsgaard and Jamie Foxx!

Despite these shortcomings, these films need, they affect the level of emotions and further emphasize that the society likes to forget.

Is still note that the film was the emphasis is not political practically was lit position and opinions happening with the point of view of the military, holding high positions or politicians from my point of view well.

It is very solidly made, emotionally good, even a little weak in terms of ideas (which in this case, and not intended, apparently, but you always want to be) movie where is very clear and understand the actions, feelings and thoughts of all characters, which you can see fans of the genre, Jake Gyllenhaal and everyone.

Anthony Swofford — rookie of the armed forces USA. Continuing the family tradition, he hit the elite forces — marine corps. Anthony meets with the customs prevailing in his new family, learns the rules of subordination and becomes an elite sniper. The girl left the house, and there it is waiting for the war. After learning the basic skills, the recruits are sent to the middle East, where they are waiting for the scorching sun and shadow enemies. Than to occupy yourself in the hot desert? About what do you think the soldiers when the first shot lingers on an indefinite period of time?

"Do not judge, and be judged." It is the Golden rule very familiar to Sam Mendes. His purpose, the Director has supplied to give an independent opinion on events of the late ' 80s, which stretched on the territory of the Persian Gulf. He decided to make a non-political film about the lives of ordinary and sergeants, who have become a significant instrument of the policy of States. This proves the words of one of characters in the movie: "We're here, and figure it with policy".

The action ribbon is displayed with the arrival of Swofford in the army. No words footage of life to. About past remind only photos and memories. On the position of the troops from each warriors has a story. Someone runs into army stupid life, someone feels their recognition, waiting for someone at home pregnant wife, someone throws favorite... Experiences of this motley crew, well-written script. On the background of someone's joy, we can see the tears of the grieving. But they all combines weapons and destiny. The tragedy of the situation is that the Marines married with their rifles, but when finally the novel will lead to the first combat shot?

Easy and available in presenting the material, Sam Mendez can sometimes pierce the viewer as an arrow. Just one phrase, the heroes can give the answer to develop a theme as some movies do this semi-more hours. Maybe I have this feeling because of the sharp contrast of "fun" and"depth". But I say, the film sometimes digging to truth experienced archaeologist.

Along with characters-the people in front of us is the image, if you will, of nature. Have their emotions, their opinions on what is happening, his own blood...

Go to casting. Jake Gyllenhaal, in places, is amazing. The film, of course, not about the lost generation the first world, praised by Hemingway and Remarque, and about the contract of the late 20th century. But the characters are, where to turn, where to dance. In some scenes, Gyllenhaal infects their emotions. In front of the camera as if not actor and a real soldier, carrying a debt to the country and friends. It colleague shop for Sarsgaard I was just a shadow of the main character, only one scene published in dark.

When I watched the trailer of the picture on the eve of its exit on screens of the USA, I thought that Jamie Foxx unique charismatic, with his inimitable voice. But in the country's dubbed version of the film we hear the voice of staff Sergeant, and touchingly attentive tone of the seller-adviser of the "Arbat prestige". Due to such mediocre voice acting, to appreciate this actor I have no right.

In the end. It is the film is not on military heroism, but about the guys who don't need awards to be considered heroes of the country. Sam Mendez showed us their unique vision, for we should be grateful.

So weird to publish a neutral review because the film I did not like: no idea how I made it myself to inspect! The army is shown as a monkey: all drinking, using the word matter, Yes and act to put it mildly strange, but better to say as a brothel.(Although I not know there army in really — it's still the Americans).

Can be on my rating is influenced by the fact that when I watched the trailer, there was a fragment of life in citizen (in particular the evil eye Gyllenhaal) — he intrigued me, so during the movie I looked at watch was waiting for these shots, but there were very few

The main character confused me completely: it is too throws of the extreme extreme. But burning oil I liked: was nice and kind of ominous. Yes even the soundtrack in the beginning was not configured on mood.

Immediately after watching the movie I was sure it I didn't like no of disgust I could remember only the last 10 min of the movie, all the rest tried to forget. But, looked like, four hours ago, and the view has changed: the film begins to make some sense, have not to the contrary, but again I would it either that haven't looked.

But, if is as something softer beat would be better (although the guys I think so like).
