Coming in the second half of the 50-ies of the last century "Invasion of the body Snatchers" is not seriously frightened the audience. Today of course the story about how alien clones represent the people of the small and cozy town, not scary maybe even bring a smile. The viewer is generally difficult to surprise. Yeah and the plot is familiar to every moviegoer — several renovations, borrowing plot moves and techniques of the original, a bunch of skits and citing — did the trick. But if you ignore the remake and other look at the film, as if you never seen these films, then the viewer will have excellent Thriller in the genre of science fiction. Skillful injection of suspense without the use of special effects — the main advantage of the film. Even if not to take ideological motives, which, without labor guessed in film — clear allusions to  the"red threat" that the viewer will get a great movie. The only negative (and it is a minus picky lover of blockbusters from stars) — no famous actors in the frame, but the top performers are very charismatic and very naturally fit into the canvas of the film.

The truth is very hard to write anything about film which says a bunch of critical articles, each frame of which long been analyzed with anatomical accuracy, therefore, only add — it's really a classic of the genre.

Well, finally, I note that the film is included in the top 10 sci-Fi movies compiled by the American film Institute AFI(9) and in a hundred of the best American thrillers (47 place).

The novel body Snatchers Jack Finney was published in 1955, and a year was filmed Don Siegel (the subject devoid of emotion duplicates of people has been so popular that during the next 50 years, followed by another three versions this story). Upon release, the film was well-received by critics and audiences, became a cult and had a huge impact on the development of science fiction...

But it was then. It would seem that now, in the age of modern technology when the budgets of the films are comparable with the budgets of small countries and we have already seen all possible subjects and their variations on any way, this movie may seem interesting to only the historical perspective — for budget 380 000 dollars, from which special effects took only 15 000 today's standards look ridiculous, yeah and like the history of the modern viewer not surprised.

But believe me, the movie completely lives up to its reputation, starting to watch it, it impossible to put down from viewing. Though the film and built in one of the flashback, telling the main character to psychiatrists, not believe any single word and we know in the end the hero manages somehow to break out of the city, follow the development of the plot very interesting.

first, the screenplay is very good — he slowly harness, but then, gaining momentum, and the final third is an almost continuous chase, when the main characters from all forces trying to get out of the city, pursued by all the other residents of the city. There are quite scary moments when left on two minutes without any supervision character is not who were before, there are famous final scene, when descending with mind hero breaks the fourth wall accesses audience a cry of "They have here! You following!".

second, the criminal would not to mention the performers of the two main roles — Kevin McCarthy Dana Wynter. They are ordinary people, residents of a small town which does not stands out among the others, and that the aliens have chosen the starting point of their invasion. They can't save the world, they can only try to warn it of the impending danger, yet it's too late. The actors were good, they love believe in them to empathize heroes and wish them out of this alteration.

third, movies and more and it is interesting to perceive with the point of view of the time when it came — US started to the decline of anti-Communist hysteria (the so-called McCarthyism), because many viewers immediately saw this film is quite obvious political allusions. Someone said that the film is about the Communist danger and totalitarianism, others — he on the contrary about the dangers of McCarthyism, the stage Director and the leading man always claimed that I made a simple Thriller without any "double bottom".

It should be noted that originally the film was supposed to end on a more somber note. But the Studio decided not to risk it, and ordered the Director to add in the film the prologue and epilogue, by constructing it in the form of a flashback. In addition, in film was added VoiceOver (sounds familiar, does not it?). However, even in this embodiment, the ending leaves a viewer the right to choose how all ended this story.

total: a Fascinating science-fiction Thriller, one of the milestones of the genre. Can take decades, the special effects are hopelessly outdated, the movies become three-dimensional — but she told the story, characters, acting — never will become obsolete. Such films are called classics, and the Invasion of the body Snatchers she is, and in her best.

The first time I learned I "Dance of death" — a documentary study of horror movies (he wrote a book other than himself, Stephen king). King of terrors is very praised "Invasion" (and the original novel by Jack Finney praised). And after some time, the Film Prestige, very dear me company, released "VAC" on DVD. By this chance I pass not could immediately adapted to this paranoid fantasy.

Of course, I liked it. The film, although at age a retired, easy udelyvaet all the current opus about the aliens are replacing people — "the Faculty", for example. Horror you here is not will see, but the voltage will be. Will paranoia, when it seems that no one else is allowed to believe that people only put on a mask, and masks — soulless aliens... the Whole city, apocalyse against the main character and his girlfriend; chasing them the crowd of aliens from the empty eyes; the constant danger to become one of the them — all this causes goose bumps on the body. When finished watching, I wanted to call friends. Just to know if they... And the ending managed — disturbing, but still leaves a glimmer of hope.

Thank you, king, for good advice!
