"White nights" first sight — it is a mixture of silbergasse "Duel" and Zvyagintseva "Return". Put together, divided by two. And at the same time removed all the dogmatism, chase, allusions... But this, again, only on first glance. In the picture lots of scenery, roads, mountains, pine trees and moss, but quite a bit of conversations with third parties to the action. The lion's share of time we watching the two main characters, who need to take a step back to then take two forward. And that first step, as usually very difficult. And I must say that the authors managed to handle this communication correct colours and do not overload with unnecessary information. For each topic, which will affect the heroes, we hear only a few suggestions, but we will form a complete understanding of who passed full in their life in past present. The rest of our perception can gain from their sometimes barely visible gestures and facial expressions.

Some moments of the film, as I realized, deliberately tightened to give the viewer to experience the uncertainty and dissatisfaction with experienced by father and son. Long shots do enough — gravel road going to mount, gradually enveloping mist — it is very beautiful and very atmospheric. And then the fog is added to the trance sound, as metro, longer will be nothing. But, so as "White nights" is definitely not the road movie, the road there is a means of expression. In the film generally a lot of space and air. And sound design complements what is happening. This design — not only music, but and the sounds themselves. A fun singing group in phone — too long, too place.

Like highlighted the generational difference, they interests of perception. Some deliberately, and the very true. But, perhaps, the significance of this difference in people's lives is greatly exaggerated, and not all so complicated? The authors will give the answer. They one hundred percent were able to sustain a picture in a proper canvas and not to sink into any gross.

After viewing, the film had a glass of vermouth with olives, where olive — the grain, and vermouth — required the entourage. Folds up very easy though, in General, quite delicate subject. It turns out, the film itself is simple but very high quality. For that he did you like more, I recommend watching it on a cool evening, and not the heat before going to beach.

It is strange that it is not reviews. Although this fact confirms once one rule — piece goods not advertise, but it is necessary to seek out.
