Heading alternative 1. That the movie, after watching that do I regret the time.

Heading alternative 2. The film, high ratings and positive reviews on you genuinely surprised.

Title alternative 3. Not the movie with the years relevant or promises interesting to spend a couple of hours.

Many movies without negative reviews sooner or later such is still appear. Not to stand out, but expressing lack of understanding of how this [enthusiastic unanimity] is possible. It was the turn of this film.

No information about the front of view (except for the initial choice — how many — on the criteria of "top creative De city" "one of favorite movies Quentin Tarantino").

Plot: illogical, characterized by predictability, an abundance of plot holes and mistakes. Thriller? Not are looking. Detective? Not think. Not agree with that trying to present for the truth, literally in every word such as "surprise ending" in the key. Not to say that he was such. Absurd (in a bad way) — possible. Sad that the film is based on previously shot scenes (because could be interestingly presented, but — alas, here, here only in the useless as a citation).

Scenario: the main puncture of this film. The case when spoilers are necessary for visual demonstration of the irrationality of the actions of the main characters, banal dialogue and etc.

Acting:, Nancy Allen replay (ad nauseam) the fool — so conceived? John Travolta was forced to play extra drama (in an attempt to make the character deeper and more any real — however it gave the opposite effect), detective skills (in any case, combined with stupid decisions during his investigations), and at the same time incredibly funny and ridiculous to run around in the time (I admit that it is a personal discovery of the actor).

Music and sound: or klishirovannyh or melodramatic where it would be more appropriate to use anyone (even silence!), but the creators of this film know better, of course.

Summary: in the film may contain interesting techniques and finds ("green" because there are not just so, Yes?..), but hard the pure in heart to recommend it — so bad that didn't want to spend time on writing memories this empty product is not able to prevent the creation of this writeup.

as epitaphs reformulate the words of the review Mark Dinning for EMPIRE magazine: "A forgotten germ".

Night, street, lantern... no, no pharmacy. Yeah and street, travel through the Park. And in the Park sound designer Jack Terry (John Travolta), armed with the Swiss "Nagraj" recording for in the music, the sounds of the night. Passed a couple in love. Croaked the frog. In the trees something protractile. Zaehali owl. On the road there was a car...

And here here begins. Cotton — and the car is flying in the water. Jack rushes to help, but driver choked, but here the girl-the passenger (Nancy Allen), it saves. And the hospital finds out what killed — Governor a future candidate in presidents, and the girl... well, you realize family and press better not know and the Governor were kind of left the girl. So that, mister, girls are not were you will not diving, do take it and get somewhere, we'll get you set up to the back door.

Yativ along with girl item in the Motel away, Jack listens to his record, and understand — not accidental puncture and planned to cross. But not want to listen. Moreover, COP is generally uninteresting. Shocked and angered, Jack decides that his duty — to establish the truth.

Alas, a heightened sense of responsibility and hit man names Burke (John Lithgow), who considers a matter of honour to provide the "operation" perfect cover. Which requires the complete elimination of the way over the ears Sally

Good movie, I liked it. Maybe someone tightened, but I first watched as a teenager, and I was satisfied. Acute civil position of Director. The young Travolta, who plays the lone sound guy working on a cheap horror films. Nancy Allen is not like one that will still be in "Robocop", simple to naivety strava a scary story. The Shine — Lithgow, who paid not so much screen time, but is one of the best spots of the film. Worth at least the words which he speaks to clients.

Good movie.

Brian De Palma man is definitely talented. For his career shot a number of wonderful paintings included in the Golden Fund of world cinema. A giant influence on his formation as a Director has had the career of the master action-Packed movie Alfred Hitchcock. Imitation of the style of the great masters often put him in reproach, as unable to invent something of their own. Do with these accusations or no, it only a matter of taste. I think movies De Palma, although adopt many elements and pieces of the works of other authors, all presents an example of the quality and distinctive directing. And this movie is not exception.

The picture is a detective Thriller. In the plot clearly shows the influence of two significant films on this topic to blow up Michelangelo Antonioni "Talk" Francis Ford Coppola. In which inspired Brian De Palma, and it was not only the Director, but and the screenwriter. In the time, the tape fell into the rental gathered mixed criticism. But over time, began to be perceived as classics of the genre.

The young engineer Terry Jack, recording the sounds for second-rate horror film captures the sound of the night of the accident. Listening to the recording, he realizes that the accident occurred not by chance, but the history involved in including the highest political circles. The protagonist begins the investigation that will result in a chain of dangerous events.

The Director managed to convey the tense atmosphere. The picture is filmed in the style of neonoir, with the classic attributes of this genre. Gloomy manner of shooting, slowly building the suspense, the presence of the femme fatale and other artistic techniques of film Noir. Strong suspense holds the attention and foreshadows the unexpected ending. But unfortunately noticeable flaws in the script. The sophisticated viewer will certainly pay for this attention. There is some innuendo.

John Travolta then still a young and not-so-stellar actor, played one of the best roles in the early stage of their career. He very much fit the image of a simple technician who was not in place not the time. Not a remarkable piece of drama, but worthy designed role. Nancy Allen made with the role of a girl involved in these mysterious events. She looks confident sometimes theatrical, but without causing rejection. But here's a mysterious villain in performance John Lithgow came out very colorful. It character is revealed, but produces a powerful effect.

Puncture atmospheric, intriguing, tense detective Thriller. A worthy representative of the genre in the General and the early work of the Director Brian De Palma in particular. Not devoid of flaws and the story unsaid. But designed to fans of action-Packed movie, but also fans of John Travolta.
