Man-gadget? Smartphones? Or same Hackerman? The film could get more stupid or awkward name, but because of the stereotypes and trends of the time he gave the title of iBoy.

The story tells us about an average teenager by Tom. At random circumstances, becomes involved in gang violence, the output of which becomes almost not fatal to him — the bullet of one of the bandits will fall into the smartphone the fragments of the device ricochet him in the skull. Waking up after a coma guy starts to notice some oddities. With his eyes he sees the "digital anomalies" around all electronic devices. The idea of the film is sometimes similar to the video game WatchDogs, but there smartphone the main protagonist was in her hand.

The genre of the film, as it seemed to me, sometimes with elements of cyberpunk and dystopia. On the entire film seeing social disadvantage, crime, violence, selling drugs — all creates escalate the situation. More  & melancholic, trance soundtrack in some moments of the film does its job.

Despite that appear very cute, they fit perfectly in the atmosphere of the picture and play nice.

I was surprised that in so many "trite cliches" that are inherent in many big-budget films about people with abilities. Yeah and the plot is not typical. Of the similar movies to think only of the picture johnny Mnemonic (1995). Although no plot holes here is not done. It and it is clear that NetFlix only gaining experience in short the timing of the polnometrazhek. I this film is liked a lot more than ARQ (2016) from the same Studio.

Though the Internet service Netflix has long been working closely with Marvel in 2017, Netflix decided to try their luck with a superhero of a different kind. In the basis of the "boy" is a novel of a Kevin Brooks and film explanation cleared rather in the format of a crime Thriller.

Student Tom is attacked by thugs in the boy gets the bullet, breaking it smartphone. The fragments of the device fall guy in the brain, making it gets abilities such as control technology with my mind.

Some plot setup seemed to be very strange. First, we are talking about abilities of the main character and how he acquired. After the tragic incident, the fragments of a smartphone literally stuck in the Volume in mind the young man was able to control technology with my mind. In the majority of the superheroes gained their ability after the experiment, by chance, and etc. and concept "BoE" very relevant and curious to present day. But details explained. Very often superheroic able to catch it by the associations themselves with characters when fully demonstrate the conditions that led to the fact that the individual acquires superpowers. Not to say that in "BoE" this is not, but the circumstances traits "before gaining superpowers/after gaining superpowers" spelled out most concisely.

Secondly, catches the eye of the paucity of characters, especially the main character Tom. Again, many films on similar subjects have an appeal because the audience receives the performance of those or other desires. All we want to possess some abilities and movies of this genre show what it may cause: a funny mockery of world in "the Mask" or something more epic in the "very dangerous". In other words, the main point here — watch the loser will get pleasure and will adjust my life, given my newfound abilities. What does That? Practically nothing — it all the story revolves around revenge, rolling up the genre paintings in the scope of the subgenre of retribution. With the moment Tom wakes up with its new features, it is primarily motivated by only revenge on the thugs. In fact, the entire film is dedicated to his revenge of the local bullies! Of course, you can refer to that and was the primary source, but in the format of the film is similar to the plot setup does not disclose any character or it features special skills in this case play only the role of a "weapon" against these bullies. Very sorry that not have shown the evolution of the character and his entourage.

It should also be noted a very strange decision makers for contacting urban realism. The film is made as realistic as possible. Often this is superheroine in favor (the same TV series "Jessica Jones"). With the point of view of installation and world in "BoE" everything resembles some kind of "Waste", but without appropriate wit. Personally, I think let the history of film the unit is relatively dark, it still not would add humor and ease of storytelling. For example, in one of scenes the hero contemplates rollers with YouTube about martial arts. The idea is good, but with humor, and not the gloom, she would have looked much better.

Effects most used in the first half of the film, when Tom trying to run their newfound abilities. Digital information is leaked on screen, etc. But with the development of event effects are becoming less and often we are talking about the text messages in"bubbles" that demonstrate parallel with what is happening on the screen events.

Netflix has made significant progress, adding to your library, so the original content. Done well, but boring. In the first place, because "boy" is an unusual genre — a hybrid between revenge, superheroines and teenage fiction. And the original idea required a lot more work to make sense of. Otherwise the viewer is not understand how to this belongs: whether to examine the picture as extremely serious "superhero movie", too dark and relevant fiction or story of a teenage revenge?

It is foolish to deny how huge a role in our lives played by modern technology. Allowing us to do what would have seemed insane delusional fantasy of the writer. To write letters, call and even see at the conversation of a man who is hundreds or even thousands of miles away from you? Easily. Fit your favorite music, movies, books and many other things in blank under the name smartphone? With ease. Not only creating us a lot of amenities, but and turning us to potential victims, about the very trivial and covered says this film directed by Adam Randall.

At first glance, this film directed by Adam Randall is another film about another superhero with supernatural powers. Let a bit absurd, but and original through overwritten to holes are investigated along and across the genre of superhero movie. Where plot fully built in the usual tenets of revenge, retaliation and the struggle for justice. But all of this purely pop-Cornavin story built on numerous clichés holds something much deeper.

Let your core morality, the picture came not as straightforward as desktop horor "Remove from friends", "Cyber-terror" and a number of such paintings, but it is the background of the obvious things painting the harsh truth of our time. When we are themselves paged all information about our habits, preferences and life in whole network. Allowing not only easy to learn confidential information about our lives and with all the chance manipulation use of this information, we harm. To disclose fully the idea is not possible, but it second floor and makes it a very hackneyed plot more interesting. Even the General concept of history is very much like a play duologue "Watch Dogs". Only replacing the smartphone in the hand of hacker-hero the smartphone is "implanted" in the brain of the hero of this picture.

Visually the film is very bad. Numerous visual effects reflect the quite spectacular and colorful illustration not only the main character's abilities, but and interface numerous gadgets on the screen. Not mention atmosphere. Where the Director of the film Adam Randall managed equally well disclose his work as as a kind of dystopia, so and works of the cyberpunk genre. Allowing you to watch occurring in a certain alternate variation of our everyday life.

Starring bill Milner and star of "Game of thrones" Maisie Williams played not quite a bad. Why not tell about the rest of the cast picture. Where all were very gray and dull. Not allowing noticeable to allocate any of them. In including the main villains of the picture, which look absolutely not charismatic weak. In including Rory Kinnear, which is absolutely not implemented by screen as the Central antagonist of the picture.

iBoy — is very bad REP nowadays fashion trends superhero movie, but devoid of the proverbial lightness and pop karnavati. Creating the screen seems quite dark and heavy antiutopicheskoy cyberpunk, which is not just brings fresh air in hackneyed plot, but and reflects highly relevant Duma of modern society.
