Teen Titans: The Judas Contract

Sam Lesh is about the not the only person who is able to film anything in the DC universe. It is of course it applies only to animations, most of which turns on a really high level. As it is obvious from the name, new "the Judas Contract" more closely presents the viewer with the universe of Young Titans. And it to my opinion, is a major mistake.

The plot of "Young Titans" that will focus the viewer on a relatively new team of superheroes. Here not found places such iconic characters as Superman or Batman. But the Titans appear to us a pretty strong group, which will meet with aggressive fanatics, but also one of the most famous antagonists of the universe — Defstream. But the problem is that not a representative of the Titans plays for that causes a very strong cleavage in the team.

Actually, of course, the idea of the Young Titans center characters, is extremely delusional. All problem that most of they are absolutely mediocre and uninteresting teenagers who probably will be boring even in the same adolescents. The main reservoir is raised in"Young Titans" questions are incredibly boring and more than trivial. Well, who could be interested in young love relations with the parents? In a lot of very mediocre dialogue, which is extremely boring and as much as boring the characters themselves. No, there is of course the same Destroy, Nightwing, well, or at least Starfier. But this is not enough. In the rest, the whole focus is on Damien disgusting, sad bug, or a slow-witted Beast of Battle. The only than there's no significant problems with this action. He good in something I wish does not take up most of the screen time.

As a result — even if you very much in love with the DC universe, you can miss "the Judas Contract". So as the climax of the most boring, dull and mediocre for the last time. I don't quite understand, for some reason, took the development of the Young Titans and Damien in particular, but the material comes out incredibly weak. And it would be best to revise something old, where Superman Batman more serious smah tumbled into another crowd of villains. A youthful love experiences may remain somewhere in the scenes, because they are too superfluous in action-oriented picture, lasting just over an hour. But it's that the hour is becoming one of the longest the life of the viewer.

"Teen Titans: the Judas Contract" — the second animated film with the participation of these heroes DC. Based on an almost cult-like work (Yes, how strange, "the Judas Contract" is probably third on the popularity of the place among DC comics after "Crisis on Infinite earths" and the"death of Superman"), the film was created by Sam Liu, the man who really knows how to film DC. But as and previous creations ("the killing joke" and"Justice League vs Young Titans"), flaws visible to the naked eye. And not only fans of the original comic book.

Of the team of adolescent superheroes replenishment. To join Terra can control the ground, and a former protege of Batman — Nightwing. The titans come into the fight with Brother Blood and his cult. And Destroy his plan of revenge Robin (see "Son of Batman").

Do not expect page adaptation of the original comic book. The writers adapted the original story under the needs of the current "Animated DC universe" and did it on my opinion, quite adequately.

But with out those characters or other lining. Damien, the current Robin, was previously excessively used. Wise the writers pushed it and Raven on and were given the chance to brighten other Titans. But made it somehow weak. So, for example, Blue beetle gets podsweat on an inability to control their powers, which makes it is dangerous, especially for his parents. And the story receives a further development; it has been added like a whim. Beast Boy? He it just brings Terra and annoys the viewer. Nightwing and Starfier? The script is more interested in the description of the details of their sexual life than in the disclosure of the characters. A Terra Destroy on my opinion, belong to the strengths of the "Contract". Have a Terra has a story (albeit with"white spots"), revealing its emotional potential. Destroy, in turn, came the best part of the "Contract", albeit not all the questions about his background was answered. Its evil plan is well thought out, hatred of the son of Batman is justified. I would particularly like to acknowledge the voice of the late Miguel Ferrer. For all this is lost to the main antagonist — Brother's Blood. It comic prototype was the openly evil and sadistic, but charismatic enough to rally hundreds of followers. Animated same Brother Blood was just a mediocre small leader.

As for the animation, "the Judas Contract" does not offer anything new. It look like and the previous part about "Young Titans." This do not bad as it still fights done efficiently.

Not to say that "Contract" designed for young audiences. First, in the film there are several graphic violent scenes relating to childhood Terra. Second, for some reason added a lot of sexual innuendo.

And yet "the Judas Contract" was released dubious and as an extension, so as independent work. If you compare with the previous feature film about "Young Titans", then  Contract to one better, in another worse, and third — on the level. The only thing that surely — the further adventures of teen superheroes look promising and have a cartoon of the Justice League appeared viable "competitors".

I do not quite understand how the price moves animated universe, DC and what is all will lead. But yet I can say that the cartoons are adaptations of individual stories work as a rule brighter than the associated with a single series. Maybe this is associated with no need to look back at the other works as already released so and upcoming.

Here in Junior Titans absolutely does not feel any freedom, all characters are presented early remain in their unaltered images.
