The film turned out very good. Its attractive atmosphere, exciting immerses in itself. The plot is simple, but quite clear. All events revolve around the main character (John Hawkes) — COP resigned, abusing alcohol, he specifies the invigorating tone. After the death of a young girl, the officer begins to understand that in this case not all so pure, the hunt for the next victims (young ladies, who knew the dead), famously gaining momentum and affect all who will be woven into this extensive chain. With this moment, starts difficult the redemption of the hero in the office.

I believe that for better visualization, the film is not enough for a little more background about the care of colored relatives (Anthony Anderson, Octavia Spencer) over Mike Candela, in addition a little wider to reveal other characters to it seemed impersonal. They themselves orchestrated the tape, inviting the main role of John Hawkes — the 58-year-old actor with a mediocre appearance, which you can see supporting roles in hundreds of films and TV series (for example, in the recent "Three billboards"). Here he at once goes to the Central image, and appears that the hawks charisma allows him to speak and solo.

The atmosphere and surroundings of the "Crime...", incidentally, is also reminiscent of the aforementioned "Billboards". Those same rednecks on the last inflated pennies cheap beer in roadside bars. The terms unemployment and creditors, prostitution and crime — in General, as we love. Then, with some certainty and immediacy of the protagonist's impersonating what is not an attempt to impose its detective services, its timeless optimism, coupled with the absurdity of the situation, — all albeit not new, but it looks pretty nice. What is important, the story develops very rapidly: all the action is placed less than a half hour, so that time for a long Preface is not, as no not a single superfluous frame.

Upshot of the investigation is not very original: a series of murders in the end turns into a story about blackmail (Hello more times the priests!) and a bloody shootout on the finish. The finale desperately not missing some of the plot twist, yeah and more coherent social message, like the works of Taylor Sheridan, came to the site. But the detective line here, obviously, and not the most important of the components. It rather, the story of the detective. And more about how the man gets a second chance — and using it, staying at this yourself. At end credits same catch yourself thought that seen even a bit like the pilot of the future of the series — and look the sequel would be at least it is interesting...
